Dear friend of Locust Street Art,

Since 1959, Locust Street Art has provided free community art classes to Buffalo and beyond! This tradition led to the creation of an Annual Art Show, which recently became a block party as well. We are preparing for our 64th Annual Art Show on June 27th, 1-5 pm! This is a time to honor and celebrate our community by showcasing their hard work. With over 1,500 students enrolled this year, the walls will be packed with art throughout the whole building!

Each year, Locust Street Art offers more than 500 free community art classes in animation, photography, ceramics, drawing, and painting for participants ranging from age four through senior adults. All instruction and materials are fully provided at no cost, ensuring that every student has the

opportunity to learn, create, and grow regardless of financial circumstances. Every participant is invited to showcase their work in our Annual Art Show, where students and staff work together to prepare each piece for a professional, gallery‑quality display.

As a celebration of our students and their work, the Annual Art Show is free and open to our students, families, friends, and community. There will be a cookout, live music, art for sale, a bounce house, face painting, 50/50, an awards ceremony along with many other family fun attractions for our younger artists!

This promises to be one of our biggest and best art shows! Your donation can help make this all possible. We rely on sponsors like you to make the Annual Art Show event a success—your donation goes towards things like food, drinks, bounce house rental, paying the band, frames artwork, staff time, and student awards!
