Locust Street Neighborhood Art Classes, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit that relies on your generous donations to continue operating. Our core mission is to provide accessible art classes to the Buffalo, NY community, and that means that most of our programs are offered free of charge and that all materials are provided.
All donations, no matter their size, make a difference.
They keep paintbrushes and pencils in the hands of our students and allow us to help children, teens and adults unlock their artistic potential. We’re proud to provide a space of exploration and creativity for a diverse array of students, especially those considered to be at-risk or members of marginalized groups. 61% of students are people of color (70% of students ages 4-18). Among the youth who attend classes, 81% live in zip codes considered low-income. Further, many of our former students have discovered their calling at Locust Street Art. Some of our former students have gone on to professionally study and create art, while others have discovered a passion for education or social service. Our students have also worked to create several public art projects to beautify our city.
